My goal for my companion app is to make an easy to navigate, helpful wiki for people who could play the game. When researching a layout for my companion app I engaged in competitor research, examining various websites and companion apps, both official and fan made. Some of these that inspired me most were the Elden Ring Wiki by Fextralife, and the EA SPORTS FC™ 25 Companion app. The Elden Ring Wiki inspired my companion app's overall design, specifically, the black semi-transparent box holding the text in front of a larger background image. I was also a fan of the black and gold colour scheme used here, and I decided to implement a similar colour scheme in my own work, as I enjoy the the subtle contrast coloured text allows for on a black background.

The EA SPORTS FC™ 25 Companion app was also a great source of inspiration for me. I was inspired by the design and layout of the buttons, as putting them all in a line within a bar at the bottom of the screen made it easier to navigate the app.

I also used the FIFA games as a basis for gauging player demographics. While I couldn't find any demographics for users of the app, I used the demographics from the game, as the vast majority of the app users will be players of the game.
